Heidi Rocke, E-RYT, YACEP
Heidi has been studying the dynamics of movement from very young. She began training as a dancer at 5 and began riding at age 6. She studied at the Humphrey Dance Center in New York and then moved to Florida to compete in equestrian events as a Junior. After graduating from New York University with a Bachelor's in Journalism she went to work starting, conditioning, training and exercising Hunters and Jumpers, ponies, even starting thoroughbred yearlings for racing.
It was during her Master’s study of Oriental Medicine/Acupuncture in 2005 that Heidi found Yoga and the true direction of her path developed. She got her Yoga Alliance Teacher Training at the Miami Yoga Shala in 2006 and has since studied the pioneers in human movement and mindbody connection including, Myers, Porges, Feldenkrais, Alexander, Franklin, and Ida Rolf. She has developed Dynamic Integration Technique; a somatic approach to balancing and recalibrating the body through the major axes (pelvis, feet, ribcage, etc.) and joints (hips and shoulders), and the fascia that suspends them.
With 14 years of experience working with group and private clients, Heidi has a reputation for bringing the most out of everyone she works with. She is able to express her deep understanding of the body and the dynamics of movement with vivid imagery and progressive exercises. From beginners to advanced, ages 12 to 82, whether in the prime of health or just putting yourself back together, Heidi unlocks the secrets that bring your body into optimal balance and performance.
